All the office staff at North Yorkshire Building Control Partnership entered into the spirt of Christmas by wearing their most fantastic and bright Christmas jumpers on Friday 20 December 2019.

Everyone who took part made a contribution to ‘Ryedale Charities Together’.  This partnership of local charities was formed in 2000 and aims to address the problems of isolation and disadvantage experienced by people in Ryedale through support, information, advice and opportunities.  Much of its work is done by volunteers.  The seven charities in ‘Ryedale Charities Together’ include:  Acorn Community Care, Helmsley Walled Garden, Next Steps, Ryedale Carers’ Support, Ryedale Community Transport, Ryedale Special Families and Sight Support Ryedale.

Robert Harper, Head of Building Control said “It was great to see so many of the staff take part and support such a worthy cause.  Our contribution combined with the money raised at Ryedale District Council for their Christmas Jumper Day comes to a grand total of £143.00 which will be passed to Ryedale Charities Together”.
