New Starter at North Yorkshire Building Control Partnership

North Yorkshire Building Control Partnership are happy to introduce Steve Riley as the latest member of the team.  Steve will be based at the Main Office in Easingwold.  Appointed as an Assistant Building Control Surveyor Steve joined NYBCP in January 2018.

Steve has a BSc (Hons) Building Construction Degree which he completed at Sheffield Hallam University as a mature student. Having a varied career within the construction industry Steve started as an Apprentice Bricklayer. Whilst working and studying Steve acquired academic qualifications that allowed him to progress his career in to civil and mechanical engineering where he was involved in the design and construction of waste water treatment facilities for UK and overseas Clients. In more recent roles Steve has supervised and managed reactive and planned building maintenance work for social housing organisations.

Joining NYBCP Steve looks forward to the new challenges that his role presents and is working towards becoming a qualified Building Control Surveyor and a member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers. 

North Yorkshire Building Control Partnership provided an independent impartial and publicly accountable service, which is carried out by a team of experienced surveyors, who have fantastic local knowledge and are able to offer excellent advice.  

The service is non-profit making and National standards are implemented in a fair and professional manner.
