£915.00 was raised for ‘Pancreatic Cancer UK’ at the 2017 LABC North and East Yorkshire Building Excellence Awards held on Wednesday 14 June at The Principal York Hotel.

Each year the LABC President selects a charity to support, this year, Richard Scott’s chosen charity is Pancreatic Cancer UK.   The LABC North and East Yorkshire Building Excellence Awards were happy to support this worthwhile charity for the night, with envelopes being placed on all the tables and asking our guests to give generously.  Karen Stead from the charity gave a very moving speech followed by a short informative film about Pancreatic Cancer.

The grand total raised on the evening was £915.   Richard Scott said ‘on behalf of the entire team I would like to thank everyone involved in the Building Excellence Awards’.  We were delighted to have been chosen as this year’s charity and to receive the wonderful donation of £915 as well as this great opportunity to create awareness of our work.  Pancreatic Cancer UK supports those affected by the disease, invest in research and lobbies for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer.

Robert Harper organiser of the LABC North and East Yorkshire Excellence Awards said ‘we are very pleased to be able to support such a worthwhile charity which helps so many’.
